Masked Faerie

This photograph was created for sculptor Paula Slater for her acrylic sculpture collection called Royal Faerie. The lighting was done with strong backlighting with bright patches of light reflected vial mirrors. Tradition reflective light does not work for this type of subject because much of the detail is seen as light passes through the object. In as sense, the subject must be lit from within. It also helped to talk to the sculpture while photographing it, no it really helps, it really does.
